Why we must act now?
Forests in the world are depleting at an alarming rate due to climate change. According to International standards, at least 12% area of a country must be covered by forests. Currently, less than 2% of Pakistan’s area is covered by forests. This is a 33% decrease from 1990-2000. Landslides, flash fires and rising temperatures are some of the direct consequences of this deforestation. Air quality in big cities is approaching dangerous polluted levels and breathing problems are more prevalent than ever.
We must come together as a society to understand the ramifications of this predicament. No individual, no matter how powerful, has the power to implement available solutions.
How we are helping
At Fiber Glass Engineering, we are very conscious of our corporate social responsibilities and have taken steps to ensure we give back to the society. “Our Save Trees, Save the Nature, Use Composites” campaign is one of its kind in Pakistan. We believe our successors deserve a world better than us and we have taken it upon ourselves to ensure that our company’s growth resonates with it.
